Historic Saint Michael's Cemetery
is one of the two oldest extant cemeteries in the state of Florida and is listed on the
National Register of Historic Places. More than 30 grave sites damaged by hurricanes, time and vandalism were
repaired as part of a joint effort between the University of West Florida Archaeology Department and Stone and Lime Imports, Inc.
The restoration project was funded by the Saint Michael's Cemetery Foundation, which oversees the 8-acre green space in the heart
of urban, historic Pensacola.
